Yui is a ton more crisp and sharp than ever!


From the very start of developing Wrapturous Adventure, I have been confronted with an issue and for so long I couldn't find the solution... Until now.

Ever since I started to implement 2D hand-drawn sprites into the game, a big problem I had was making the sprites look sharp and clean. For years I have looked at tutorials and forums on how to get the best quality out of 2D sprites in Unreal, however, all tutorials and forums were for 8-16-bit style characters, unlike the HD sprites I am using in this game.

So while some of the stuff did improve the looks of the sprites, things such as wrappings on Yui still kept chipping and blending in places and some elements look blurred or pixelated. But today I was fiddling around with finding a solution to this problem and it seems like I have finally found the solution and it turned out to be a simple one.

So yeah you can see the difference in the comparison image below, and you should expect to see the more sharper sprite in the new demo soon.
