Working on some Randomization


In case for those not on my discord, I've been pretty busy planning and working a randomization system for the levels of the main game.

Major reason I decided to work on adding some randomization system to the game, is one of my biggest challenge that I have been constantly facing when developing Wrapturous Adventure was trying to plan out the best level layouts for the game. There have been constant thoughts on what order should Trap/Obstacles and such and does these level layouts feel fun enough for multiple playthroughs. Its these questions that left me stuck staring at my PC screen for days without making much progress.

Many times I have thought about using some randomization in the game, so I no longer need to debate on how the levels should be layout sense the randomization would be a part of the gameplay. However my biggest challenge was how would I code a randomization system that would work with the type of game I'm making. Luckily it looks like I might have finally found some methods that can take the rooms and place them in random order. Which would mean I no longer need to worry about making a perfect level layout and instead my focus is making the many different room that players might come across in their playthroughs.

Anyway I am still coding the systems, but hopefully in the coming days I'll have a new test build for my supporters and if the results are well then it could mean some good news for the progress on the games development.
