WIP - Try & Hide From Her
So been busy these past couple of days developing the new changes to the game mechanics, things like the Sanity Mirages (Heath Collectables), New Security Detecting style obstacles, Caution the Villain is Approaching systems with a UI that shows this, Hiding spots, etc. Anyway still work and polishing needs to be done before these might be added into the Alpha Demo or switch to a Demo that represents a level for the full game, but hopefully you enjoy seeing a little bit of the work in progress on one of the new systems.

I think you're on the right track with this mechanic.
I want to add that maybe you can change the difficulty of the QTE at certain times: making it more difficult when the enemy is "scarier/stronger/more observant" or when the hiding spot is more risky (among bugs or trinkets). Also, since some people are bad with QTE, maybe add the option to simply hold down certain buttons, in the future of course.
Just wondering, were you considering the idea of self-moving platforms, like a conveyor belt?
I wish you well and good luck!
oh there are some plans on difficulty effects when it comes to the QTE. Anyway thanks
There are more than a few games out there where QTEs are superfluous or drag down the pacing. In a game like this, where your skill is focused on avoidance, they fit thematically and can add pops of tension. I wish you well on your balancing act finding when they work best in your level designs.
