WIP - New Move Setup - Pt1


So been going through so many debates on Wrapturous Adventure on the best way that be good for Yui to navigate around the environment. There have been thoughts and testing on the Grid system and some concerns and issues I crossed on using this kind of system in a Side-Scroller. Hence some thoughts cross me on moving to an Isometric View which Grid Base is very common, however from words from other developers, Isometric view is very difficult in 2D especially in Unreal 4. So it's been a troubling debate cause I want to make sure this game is an actual game that can be very enjoyable to play despite the subject matter. (Eye candy is one thing, but it shouldn't be the only thing to drive the game.) But then some idea came across and I want some opinions and that is making a bit of a hybrid of the Side-Scroller and Isomeric View. In other words instead of one row of tiles limiting Yui to hop left and right, maybe I add 2 more rows so pressing up or down with have Yui hop a different depth. I am slowly thinking this might be the right direction to help in the game and add some to the Puzzles and Stealth along with the game sticking to its 2.5D look with some 2D Art and Animation by Tsinji.
